Where's my workout? (Gym edition)

Written by Sarah Wasvick | Wednesday, 4 August 2021

We’ve all been there – you’ve just cooled down after a HIIT class and open your Myzone app to see your session summary. But after refreshing the feed, nothing shows. You watched your tile on the screen, so you know it recorded... Despite the frustration, there’s a reason why you’re getting a no show. Your MEPs just need a nudge. Here is what happens when your workouts get stuck at the gym.

When your belt activates at the gym, it begins live-streaming data to the Myzone system receiver which transmits to a PC that runs the Myzone software. This creates the tile on the screen. This computer also sends your data out to your account via the internet. If it is offline, the system stores your workout until connection is restored.

You can tell when a system is offline if you spot a cloud with a red ‘x’ in the upper right corner of the gym display. If you see that, it is always worth mentioning something to gym staff. Myzone tech support can’t get a gym online remotely, but our team is always happy to help a club out if they need some guidance. Simply tap Help on the main screen of the app.

If your app is open but the club system is offline, the system will still hold onto your workout until it is online. The data can only go to one device, and it will always choose the receiver over the app. Your phone serves as a secondary display in this case.
