How to keep motivated with physical activity

What to do when you don't feel like working out.

“The main driving force to make time for exercise is to stave off old age. My favourite workouts would be anything strength based, I am quite fond of strict presses and bench presses. I am also partial to a longish 20+ minute AMRAP using barbells, dumbbells and/or kettlebells.

“My Myzone device has helped me stay motivated and gamify keeping fit. It is also nice to see how much effort you have expressed during your workouts. I am also on platinum level, 12 months away from diamond. I know does not really mean anything, but it helps when you really do not feel like working out.

 

Going above and beyond in the gym.

“Our gym instructor goes above and beyond trying to keep us motivated, and during our two lockdowns has even loaned out gym equipment to keep us moving.

“I'm surprised about the win because I very rarely win anything. It's a nice feeling. But I also have a niggling feeling that it's too good to be true. I have chosen my wife for the prize second membership because she is also a member of the same gym.”
