Myzone has been awarded App of The Year in the 2022 FIT Summit Awards of Excellence, recognising a year of development work, community engagement and added features.

At a ceremony in Singapore in front of fitness industry leaders from around the world, Myzone won the accolade against strong competition, as part of The FIT Summit World Health, Fitness and Wellness Festival.

App-of-the-Year

Always making improvements for the community.

“We’re on a continuous journey to make products that get more people moving,” explains Leon Rudge, global head of product at Myzone. “There’s been so much hard work from the entire Myzone team in evolving the app, the in-club software and the accompanying hardware; it’s recognition such as this that cements our belief in leading the way for engaging experiences using innovative technology.

“With a redesigned interface to improve UX/UI in 2022, Myzone movers can take on individual or group Remote workouts with real-time data, and operators benefit from club branded app opportunities and open APIs. There’s so much more to come and thanks to the FIT Summit team and award judges for this prestigious title.”

Battling the world's most successful fitness brands.

The App of the Year category featured entrants from any fitness, wellness or lifestyle app (B2C and/or B2B). The award was based on: an app’s positive impact on the consumer and/or industry; strength and depth of content; UX design functionality and responsiveness; new growth in APAC; future growth possibility across APAC; and the potential impact of future iterations.

“Our 2022 App of the Year Award was hotly contested with some of the world's most successful fitness and wellness platforms in contention,” says Ross Stewart Campbell, founder & CEO, FIT Summit and Active Franchising.

“Myzone triumphed proving they continue to make great strides forward in leading member engagement and experience. From new features, new UX/UI and design, alongside the successful development of MZ-Remote, all contributed to their success.

“Congrats to the Myzone team for a fantastic year of innovation.”

An omni-channel offering that engages everyone.

“Thank you to the judging panel which was made up of the top fitness industry execs in the Asia Pacific region,” says Emmett Williams, CEO Myzone APAC. “The recognition of our efforts at Myzone to evolve with the needs of the industry is most appreciated; ever more so because the nominee list was of such a high calibre.

“We face a consumer who is now exercising in a different way to the way they did prior to the pandemic. Our data shows us that, pre-pracademic, Myzone movers worked out 60% of the time in the gym and 40% of the time outside of the gym.

“That ratio has now flipped, and is not showing any signs of regaining its original form. We will continue to evolve our offering to support clubs as they aspire to create competitive advantage with member community, member results and an omni-channel offering that engages members.”

The App of the Year award comes off the back of another recent success with Myzone winning the FIBO Innovation and Trend Award in the category of Health and Prevention for the MZ-Switch.
