Lyndon Wood brings decades of experience to Myzone’s growth journey
by Ben Hackney-Williams on Thursday, 11 May 2023
Continuing its growth and ambition, accelerating in the pursuit of getting more people physically active, Myzone is thrilled to welcome Lyndon Wood to the team as director of business development (Europe).
With strong opportunity for fitness and wellbeing across Europe, one main focus for Lyndon when he joins the team on 1 June is to further develop support for both distributors and direct operations alike in DACH and Iberia.
Endurance races and Stages Cycling
When he’s not been taking on ultra endurance races and marathons, Lyndon has a built a proven track record of over 24 years in fitness.
He joins Myzone from Stages Cycling, where over seven years he successfully developed distribution networks in Europe and South Africa, and consulted to help set up the business in the UK.
Lyndon’s also adept at operating in the corporate wellness space, having co-founded a business focussed on health and mental wellbeing; preventing burnout and building more resilient employees and leaders.
Progress is all about your people
“Growth and continuous progress depends entirely on the quality of your people,” explains David Stalker, CEO of Myzone EMEA.
“As we further expand into new markets and continue to nurture the relationships we’re already a part of, raising our game by bringing the best talent into the team has never been more important.
“I can think of nobody better suited to the next stage of positive growth at Myzone than Lyndon. One of the nicest people in the industry, his personality is matched only by his professionalism and passion in leading more communities to get active around the world.”
“As an industry and as individuals, we value experience that helps people from all walks of life sustain happier and healthier lives,” adds Jonathan Monks, commercial director of Myzone EMEA.
“Lyndon lives and breathes health, fitness, and wellness, and I can’t wait for the positive impact he’ll have on our team to support growth across the EMEA region.”
Continued growth across Europe
Lyndon’s decades of achieving sales revenue through innovative strategies will be welcomed by the already-strong team.
Myzone looks forward to continued growth across Europe through his vision and experience in driving strategy with a personal and professional passion that’s a perfect fit for the business.
“I’m exhilarated to be joining Myzone with its culture, team and business practice that relies on us getting people to move,” explains Lyndon.
“It’s all about being the catalyst for change for children who search for the confidence to exercise; inspiring all employees to get out from behind their screens at lunch to help their afternoon’s productivity; helping clubs grow communities in and out of their four walls, and individuals whose livelihoods depend on the accurate measurement of their exertion to achieve their successes.
“What’s not to smile about? What an opportunity I have to join an awesome team… Great times ahead!”
