Myzone CEO EMEA, David Stalker, re-joins the EuropeActive Board

Myzone CEO for the EMEA region, David Stalker, has been nominated to the Board of Directors for EuropeActive.

EuropeActive is the leading, not-for-profit organization representing the whole of the European health and fitness sector in Brussels. The group promotes the best practices for instruction and training, setting the overall standards of the health and fitness sector for Europe.

The European health & fitness sector serves over 60 million consumers and consists of 59,055 facilities. The sector also plays a major role in creating a more active and healthier Europe. EuropeActive aims to cooperate with the European Union and other international organizations to help achieve its main goal, “To get more people, more active, more often.”

After being informed of the news, Stalker said, “I couldn’t be more excited to be back on the EuropeActive board. I’m really looking forward to helping Nathalie and the great EuropeActive team achieve their ambitious targets and aid in cementing EuropeActive’s presence in all fitness related matters across the continent. I’m joining a Board of well-respected industry professionals who are dedicated to driving the Health strategy further up the EU agenda. I hope my previous experience with UKActive, and current role with Myzone working across the region, will be able to add value to this crucial plan.”

The EuropeActive Board is there to represent the varied stakeholders of their memberships. The Board supervises the execution of the agreed upon strategies and goals that are placed, to continuously raise the quality of service provided and improve the customer’s exercise experience and results.

Executive Director for EuropeActive, Nathalie Smeeman, said, “We are extremely delighted that David is back on the EuropeActive Board again. David is well-versed in the industry, has an extensive amount of experience, and will provide a significant contribution in defining the new strategy plan, 2030, for the Fitness sector and EuropeActive in particular.”
