Myzone status levels: What are they and how do they keep you motivated?
by Ben Hackney-Williams on Tuesday, 29 July 2025
Motivation isn’t a one-time thing. It evolves into a habit or positive lifestyle change. Myzone status levels turn that shift into a celebration of effort.
When you first start using Myzone, it doesn’t take long to see your Myzone Effort Points (MEPs) start adding up. But what happens next? That’s where status levels come in.
Myzone status levels are a built-in motivation system that rewards consistency over time, and not just intensity in the moment.
Status levels are Myzone’s way of gamifying healthy decisions. You don’t have to be the fastest, strongest, or fittest. You just have to show up and keep putting in the effort. As your streak continues, so does your reward.
Let’s take a look at what these levels are, how to earn them, and why they matter to your fitness journey.
What are the Myzone status levels?
Myzone status levels track how many consecutive months you earn at least 1300 MEPs, a target designed to support long-term health and fitness.
Each level represents your commitment to movement and gives you a clear milestone to work toward.
| Myzone status level | How long it takes to achieve |
| Myzoner | When you register |
| Copper | Earn your first MEPs |
| Iron | 1 month of 1300 MEPs |
| Bronze | 3 months of 1300 MEPs |
| Silver | 6 months of 1300 MEPs |
| Gold | 1 year of 1300 MEPs |
| Platinum | 2 years of 1300 MEPs |
| Diamond | 3 years of 1300 MEPs |
| Hall of Fame | 4 years of 1300 MEPs |
After achieving four years for Hall of Fame status, you can't lose it. However, keep hiting 1300 MEPs every month, and there's more to earn:
| Myzone status level | How long it takes to achieve |
| Rockstar | HOF +1 year |
| Superstar | HOF +2 years |
| MEPstar | HOF +3 years |
| Elite | HOF +4 years |
| Warrior | HOF +5 years |
| Titan | HOF +6 years |
| Icon | HOF +7 years |
| Hero | HOF +8 years |
| Master | HOF +9 years |
| Legend | HOF +10 years |
It’s a visual journey of your dedication and a major motivator to keep going.
Status levels aren’t about chasing perfection. They’re about showing up, putting in the work, and being proud of every MEP.
The power of gamification and habit
When you’re on your own, motivation fades. But when you’ve got an endless source of motivation, what replaces it in time is habit. And Myzone status levels are designed to build that habit, one month at a time.
Here’s how it works:
- Visual Progress: Seeing your current status reminds you how far you’ve come.
- Monthly goal: 1300 MEPs gives you a consistent, achievable target.
- Streak incentive: Knowing your next level is just one month away keeps you going.
- Community energy: Competing with others who are chasing the same status builds accountability.
This is motivation technology in action: Myzone turns the psychology of behaviour change into a game where effort is the only currency. And the longer you stay in the game, the more rewarding it becomes.
Can you lose your Myzone status?
Yes – for most levels, you can lost your Myzone status. If you don’t hit 1300 MEPs in a month, your work to the next status is set to zero.
If you miss the 1300 MEPs for a second consecutive month, your status drops back one level.
It’s not a punishment, it’s a motivator, and it works. That said, once you’ve made it to Hall of Fame, you’ll never lose that status, even if you take a break.
Your journey is yours. But Myzone is here to help you keep it going for longer.
Why it works: The psychology behind status
Gamification, streaks, and visible progress all support long-term habit formation. That’s why many fitness trackers, step counters, wearables, and learning apps use them.
What makes Myzone different? It’s not based on steps or speed – it’s all based on effort. That means everyone can compete or play, and everyone has the same opportunity to feel accomplished.
From Copper to Legend, every status tells the same story: your effort matters.
Your next step in your fitness journey
If you’re just getting started, don’t worry about Hall of Fame yet. Just hit your 1300 MEPs this month. That’s the win. That’s how you build momentum.
If you’ve been around a while? Check your app. See your streak. Celebrate how far you’ve come, and go for the next level. Share your progress from the app to social to hold yourself accountable.
Log into the Myzone app now and see your current status. Then get moving – your next milestone is waiting.
