Questions to improve your app experience with every move
by Ben Hackney-Williams on Monday, 27 January 2025
Say hello to a smoother post-workout experience. The new consolidated screen in the Myzone app simplifies saving your workouts. Fewer taps, faster results.
Your workout will still be tracked seamlessly, just like always. But now, with these simple taps, you’ll be providing us with valuable insights that will help us shape the future of Myzone.
Why do these questions matter?
You might be thinking: Why ask me anything if my workouts are already being tracked? We want to make sure we’re delivering the most accurate, rewarding, and fun fitness experience possible.
Also, by doing this, you’re helping us fine-tune our algorithms and improve how we track your effort, so you can always be confident that your MEPs are a true reflection of your every effort.
We want to make sure that no matter how or where you work out – whether you’re smashing a HIIT session, enjoying a peaceful yoga flow, or heading out for a run – you’re always rewarded for your movement.
These insights will help us make sure that your experience with Myzone continues to be as accurate and motivating as ever.
What do I have to do in the app?
When you finish your workout and upload it to the app, you’ll now see a single screen with some quick questions pop up. These questions are designed to take just a few seconds to answer, but they’ll provide us with crucial feedback that can make a big difference in how we refine your Myzone experience.

You will then be able to rename your workout as usual. These responses will go a long way toward helping us keep Myzone putting in the effort for you, every workout.
Get the most out of your Myzone workout
“We’ve put a lot of thought into simplifying the post-workout experience, focusing on reducing steps and making it as seamless as possible for the Myzone community,” explains Leon, chief digital officer at Myzone.
“By consolidating all the essential features into one intuitive screen, we’ve created a more efficient process that lets users upload their workouts quickly and easily.
“Rest assured, this won’t affect your workout data or uploads in any way, but it does give us valuable insights that help us enhance our products. It means we can continue ensuring you're accurately rewarded for all your hard work, so you never miss a MEP!
“It’s all about giving Myzoners a better user experience, with more time to celebrate their efforts and stay focused on their fitness journey.”

Myzone workout upload screen FAQ
Q: Why has the post-workout screen changed?
A: The new screen is designed to make the post-workout upload experience smoother, faster, and more efficient. By consolidating all the steps into one intuitive screen, we’ve reduced the number of taps it takes to log your workout. This means less time spent on the app and more time celebrating your fitness achievements.
Q: What’s the benefit of selecting my activity type?
A: Choosing your activity type helps us provide a more tailored experience. By understanding the types of activities you and your members do, we can refine our algorithms and deliver smarter insights in future that are specific to individual fitness journeys. This data also helps us create features that reflect your real-world workouts, making the Myzone experience even better.
Q: Why do I need to log where I wear my device?
A: Your device location – whether it’s on your chest, wrist, or arm – helps Myzone optimise data accuracy for all users. By understanding how and where people wear their devices, we can continue improving our technology and ensure your results are as precise as possible.
Q: Can I skip naming my workout or adding a photo?
A: Absolutely! Both features are optional. If you prefer to keep things simple, you can skip them and still log your workout effortlessly. However, adding a creative workout name or photo can be a fun way to personalise your fitness journey.
Q: Does this change how Myzone tracks my effort or awards MEPs?
A: Not at all. The new screen is all about making it easier to log your activity. Your effort and MEPs (Myzone Effort Points) are still tracked as accurately as ever, ensuring you get the credit you deserve for every move you make.
Q: Is Myzone collecting more personal data with these updates?
A: No, the information you input – such as activity type and device location – is purely to enhance your experience. By better understanding how users interact with the app, we can refine our algorithms and develop features that reflect real-world fitness trends. Your data is securely managed and used solely to improve your Myzone experience.
Q: How does this update benefit me as a user?
A: With fewer steps and taps, the new screen makes it quicker and easier to upload your workouts. The streamlined design allows you to focus less on logging your session and more on staying motivated and reaching your fitness goals.
