David Stalker becomes second ever Myzone Hall of Fame Legend – and the first Myzone community member to do it
David Stalker is no stranger to the fitness industry. As former CEO of ukactive, and Chair of both CIMSPA and EuropeActive, his influence has shaped the way millions move. But this month, David achieved something deeply personal: becoming only the second person in history to achieve Myzone Hall of Fame Legend status – and the first Myzone community member to reach this milestone.
The journey to Legend
David has been wearing a Myzone belt for 14 years, including a spell as Myzone EMEA CEO from 2019. Over those 14 years, he’s clocked up more than 850,000 MEPs, averaging between 5,000-6,000 per month. His consistency, passion, and belief in community have brought him to the very top of the Myzone recognition system.
“Hitting Legend isn’t just about training hard,” David explains. “For me, it’s about the guidance Myzone gives, the community it creates, and the way it’s helped me really understand my own body.
A Health scare — and a lifeline
David’s journey hasn’t always been straightforward. In his earlier days chasing MEPs, he was overtraining, sometimes doing three or four spin classes a day. One workout at YMCA changed everything.
“I suddenly found myself stuck in the red zone – my heart rate wouldn’t come down. I knew something was wrong. Without Myzone, I’d never have spotted it.”
A specialist confirmed he was overtraining and living under too much stress. “That moment was a wake-up call. Myzone gave me the early warning signs. It’s not an exaggeration to say it helped protect my long-term health.”
Community first
David is renowned in the Myzone community for supporting others: liking, commenting, and encouraging his nearly 2,300 connections on a daily basis.
“Myzone is about more than just red, yellow, and green workouts. It’s about the walks in the grey or blue zones, the dog walks, the everyday movement. That’s just as important – and I want to cheer people on for it.”
Looking back at the milestone
Jay Worthy, Group CEO of Myzone said: “David’s achievement is remarkable not only because of the numbers, but because of what it represents. Fourteen years of dedication, consistency, and community spirit show exactly what Myzone is all about.
“His story highlights the power of using Myzone as a motivation tool and guide – from spotting health issues early to building connections that keep people moving. David embodies the mission of Myzone and we’re proud to celebrate him as a Hall of Fame Legend.”
So, how does David feel about being a Hall of Fame Legend?
“Honestly, it’s not a tribute to me – it’s a tribute to Myzone. The guidance, the colours, the community – all of it has made this possible. I’m proud, but mostly I’m grateful.”
